Question: How do I get an out of state non-resident
permit that is valid in many different states?
Answer: Taking our class fulfills the training
requirement though to get a Florida non-resident concealed carry permit that is valid in many different states.
(Go to the "Permit Application" page on this website for a list of the states). We also offer the Utah training class to get
a Utah non-resident permit valid in almost 30 states. A Utah/NE permit combination gives you coverage in approximately
34 states.

Question: Now that Nebraska honors permits
from 34 other states, can I just get a Utah permit and use that to carry here in Nebraska?
Answer: No, If you are a Nebraska resident,
you must have a Nebraska permit to carry concealed here.

Question: Do I have to go to Florida or Utah to

Answer: No. The Florida and Utah permits
can be completed through the mail.

is very important to know.

Question: I took your NE CCW class over a
couple years ago; can I use that certificate for the Florida permit?
Answer: Yes, however make sure that your
certificate has the Instructors NRA ID # in the bottom left hand corner. Some early certificates this was not included, and
Florida requires it. If you need a new certificate, contact the Instructor who signed your original to get a new one. Florida
does not have a time limit on how long ago training was completed.

Question: How long is my Utah training
certificate good for?
Answer: The Utah training certificate
is only valid for one year after you have taken the class. If you don't apply for the Utah permit within 1 year, you must
take the training class again.

Question: Will you travel to teach a concealed
carry class in another part of the state?
Answer: Yes, If you
want to schedule a class somewhere other than Lincoln we would be happy to discuss with you. If you have a classroom (or even

Answer: $125 for the NE (and Florida only

Question: What do I need to bring to class?
Answer: NOTE: KEEP THE FIREARM AND
AMMO LOCKED IN YOUR VEHICLE. DO NOT BRING THEM INTO THE CLASSROOM.
1) A pen and a notepad for taking notes.
2) Handgun that you plan to carry. Please we prefer
no .22 target pistols. (If you plan to carry a small .22 revolver or .22 pocket pistol, that is acceptable. (The firearm
needs to be in a case or holster and UNLOADED)
3) 50 rounds factory ammunition (no handloads/reloads)
4) Your VALID Nebraska Drivers License or Nebraska ID.
5) A Holster (All holsters must completely cover the trigger)
(No cross draw or
shoulder holster rigs allowed. The muzzle must point towards
the ground). You will also need a belt!
6) 4 or 5 magazines or Speedloaders if you have them.
You will make the range
time flow by much quicker!!!
7) Appropriate Clothing to draw a concealed handgun from.
Jacket, untucked shirt, etc...
8) You are welcome to bring your own sack lunch. There
are fast food restaurants near by as well.
9) Proper eye and ear protection

Question: What kind of holster do I need?
Answer: We require something that securely
holds the handgun, and IT MUST COVER THE TRIGGER GUARD! Uncle Mikes and Fobus Plastic/Kydex holsters are inexpensive and work
great. No holsters that are shoulder rigs or cross draw. Check out the holsters page on our website for more info.

Question: What time should I arrive to the
class?
Answer: Be on TIME! Check your confirmation
letter for start and arrival times. It taking the Utah portion of the class, you will start 1 hour earlier than the whole
NE class.

Question: Why shouldn't I bring a
.22 Target pistol?
Answer: NE CCW Training would prefer
that people shoot practical guns that can be carried. If you choose to carry a pocket size .22 caliber pistol, such
as a small revolver or Tomcat type pistol, that is acceptable to qualify with.

Question: What about lunch?
Answer: We will break for a short lunch.
There is Runza, Skeeter Barnes BBQ, McDonalds, Amigos, Burger King and Subway within 5 minutes of our classroom. (You
are certainly welcome to bring your own sack lunch if you like)

Question: When will I know if I passed the
course, and when will I receive my certificate?
Answer: Same day of the class, at the end
of the class.

Question: Do I have to bring my own
gun?
Answer: Yes, we prefer each
person have their own gun for the class, but we usually put two people in separate groups in order to share the gun if needed.

Question: Do I have to qualify with
the gun I am going to carry?
Answer: No, the state of Nebraska
does not have a requirement for permit holders to qualify with a specific handgun.

with a handgun, can I take this class?
Answer: We prefer you take a

on my handgun for the class?
Answer: We prefer that you turn off and don't
use laser or optical sights for the class.

Question: I am active duty military currently
stationed in Nebraska, can I get a concealed handgun permit?
Answer: YES - Effective September 1st, 2009 LB
430 takes effect which changes the current law to allow members of the military stationed here to get a concealed handgun
pemit.

Question: I have Military firearms training,
why do I need to take a Nebraska Training class before getting a permit?
Answer: Some people have a high level of
Military firearms training, and while they may be better versed in the handling of firearms that most others, this class has
alot more to do with the Nebraska specific laws regarding firearms, and use of force, as well as all the rules and regulations
of the Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit Act. The majority of the information presented in this class is not covered in Military
firearms training.
