Question: How do I get an out of state non-resident permit that is valid in many different states?
Answer: The Nebraska Concealed carry permit is only valid in Nebraska. Taking our class fulfills the
training requirement though to get a Florida non-resident concealed carry permit that is valid in 28 states. (Go to the "Permit
Application" page on this website for a list of the states)
Question: Do I have to go to Florida to get the Florida Concealed Carry permit?
Answer: No. The Florida permit can be completed through the mail.
Question: I took your NE CCW class over a year ago, can I use that certificate for the Florida permit?
Answer: Yes, however make sure that your certificate has the Instructors NRA ID # in the bottom left
hand corner. Some early certificates this was not included, and Florida requires it. If you need a new certificate, contact
the Instructor who signed your original to get a new one.
Question: Why don't you teach the Utah CCW permit class?
Answer: While some instructors like to advertise this like it is the ultimate permit, it costs extra
to take another class (or the Instructors that include Utah in their class charge $175), AND the Utah non-resident permit
system is under serious fire in the Utah Legislature, and many law makers there are trying to get rid of the program. The
Florida permit is stable and doesn't seem to be going away in the near future. The Florida permit (now issued after June 11,
2008) is valid for 7 years.
Question: Will you travel to teach a concealed carry class in another part of the state?
Answer: Yes,
If you want to schedule a class somewhere other than Lincoln we would
be happy to discuss with you. If you have a classroom and access to a range we will come to you to teach a class. Contact
Chris Zeeb if you are interested in doing this. 402-525-4505 -or-

Question: How much does the class cost?
Answer: $125
Question: What do I need to bring to class?
Answer: NOTE: KEEP THE FIREARM AND AMMO LOCKED IN YOUR VEHICLE. DO NOT BRING THEM INTO THE CLASSROOM.
1) A pen and a notepad for taking notes.
2) Handgun that you plan to carry. Please we prefer no .22 target pistols. (If you plan to carry a small .22
revolver or .22 pocket pistol, that is acceptable. (The firearm needs to be in a case or holster and UNLOADED)
3) 100 rounds factory ammunition (no handloads/reloads)
4) Your VALID Nebraska Drivers License or Nebraska ID.
5) A Holster (All holsters must completely cover the trigger) (No cross draw or
shoulder holster rigs allowed. The muzzle must point towards the ground). You will also need a belt!
6) 4 or 5 magazines or Speedloaders if you have them. You will make the range
time flow by much quicker!!!
7) Appropriate Clothing to draw a concealed handgun from. Jacket, untucked
shirt, etc...
8) You are welcome to bring your own sack lunch. There are fast food restaurants near by as well.
9) Proper eye and ear protection
Question: What kind of holster do I need?
Answer: We recommend something that securely holds the handgun, and IT MUST COVER THE TRIGGER GUARD!
Uncle Mikes and Fobus Plastic/Kydex holsters are inexpensive and work great. No holsters that are shoulder rigs or cross draw.
Question: What time should I arrive to the class?
Answer: We will be checking people in and handing out class materials between 7:30-8am. Class starts
at 8am SHARP.
Question: Why shouldn't I bring a .22 Target pistol?
Answer: NE CCW Training would prefer that people shoot practical guns that can be carried. If
you choose to carry a pocket size .22 caliber pistol, such as a small revolver or Tomcat type pistol, that is acceptable to
qualify with.
Question: What about lunch?
Answer: We will break for a short lunch. There is Runza, Skeeter Barnes BBQ, McDonalds, Amigos, Burger
King and Subway within 5 minutes of our classroom. (You are certainly welcome to bring your own sack lunch if you like)
Question: When will I know if I passed the course, and when will I receive my certificate?
Answer: Same day of the class, at the end of the class.
Question: Do I have to bring my own gun?
Answer: Yes! We don't have time for two people to share the same gun on the
range. So each person must have their own gun for the class.
Question: Why do I need 100 rounds of ammo?
Answer: You will fire 36 rounds of practice and 30 rounds for qualification. This will leave
you with an extra 30 plus rounds just in case you need to re-attempt qualification.
Question: I have no experience with a handgun, can I take this class?
Answer: No, we prefer you take a Basic Pistol class first to understand the
basics of safely operating a pistol before taking the concealed carry class. Contact Roger Terrell if you need
a basic pistol class first.
